Python Job: Senior Data Scientist

• You will develop and deploy solutions in the area of information extraction (and others) for simplifying business processes using ML techniques
• You monitor the latest trends in the area of information extraction and test their applicability in proof-of-concepts on real world problems
• You manage the end-to-end execution of ML model development process: from understanding business requirements, data analysis, feature engineering, model development, to creating model deployment pipelines together with our ML engineers
• You conduct regular maintenance and reviews of existing models to identify & mitigate weaknesses and improve performance
• You guide and mentor junior data scientists

• You have a PhD or Master degree in a quantitative field (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.)
• You have at least 3 years of professional experience as Data scientist
• You are passionate about latest developments and trends in the field of machine learning and information extraction
• You bring keen attention to details while keeping a pragmatic attitude
• You have strong problem-solving skills
• You are proficient in Python and state-of-the-art tools (pandas, numpy, etc.) and at least one ML library (xgboost, sklearn, lightgbm, etc.) while having a good understanding of other ML libraries
• You have experience in neural networks (keras, tensorflow)
• You have strong feature engineering and data mining skills
• You really enjoy working independently
• You are fluent in English and/or German, other languages are a plus
